About Us

The Radiation Management Office is in charge of radiation and radioisotopes (RI) in the School of Science (SoS), the University of Tokyo (UTokyo). We are responsible for the management of RI facilities and radiation-controlled areas, supervision of management of X-ray devices, and management of as many as 500 radiation workers, including faculty members, researchers, graduate students, and undergraduate students in the School of Science. Many of the radiation workers in the School of Science use accelerator and/or synchrotron radiation facilities outside the university for their research.
